CanGEA Attends and Presents at the 2018 GEothermal Resources Council

CanGEA's Policy Director, Zach Harmer attended and presented at the 2018 Geothermal Resources Council Annual Meeting (GRCAM) and Expo from October 14 to 17 in Reno, Nevada. The 2018 GRCAM had over 1000 participants from around the world. CanGEA was honoured to host a session titled, "Geothermal Energy in Canada," which contained four presentations. The presentations in the session were:

• Unearthing Potential by CanGEA, presented by Zach Harmer
• Direct Use Geothermal Projects State of the Nation in Canada 2018 by Andrea Zaradic
• An Overview of Borealis GeoPower Projects and Community Engagement by Katie Huang et al.
• Geothermal Studies in Yukon - Collaborative Efforts to Understand Ground Temperature in the Canadian North

The conference offered CanGEA and our attending members the opportunity to meet global leaders in geothermal energy as well as get a glimpse into policy and support mechanisms in place in countries around the world.
