CanGEA members Borealis Geopower and Kitselas Geothermal were both mentioned in a media brief put out by Clean Energy Canada. The brief talks about geothermal development in Canada, along with the different geothermal projects in Canada as well.

CanGEA member The Village of Valemount put forward a resolution for the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) called EB72 “Geothermal Exploratory Drilling Regulations”. On September 23, 2020 the resolution was approved among others. This resolution advocates for the importance of geothermal energy in BC, along with a policy recommendation “to allow for the cost-effective use of shallow exploratory drilling for geothermal energy development in British Columbia.”
