Geo-Exchange

​Most people think that geothermal means heat pumps and residential heating and cooling- that’s not what we’re talking about, that’s called geo-exchange. The difference is temperature moderator (geo-exchange) vs. a positive thermal source (geothermal). ​The illustration on the left shows a geothermal power plant or an industrial heat customer directly using geothermal energy, whereas the illustration on the right is a geo-exchange heat pump.
