CanGEA is encouraged by the opportunity from the Government of Alberta’s commitment to a cleaner energy sector. The February 25th 2020 Speech from the Throne and Premier Kenneys February 24th 2020 speech on the Carbon Tax, each create opportunities for Alberta’s geothermal and other renewable energy sectors.

Alberta Premier Kenney issued a statement in support of the Alberta Court of Appeal decision that ruled the federal carbon tax as unconstitutional. This discussion will continue in Saskatchewan and Ontario to advance the appeals of these provinces on this issue.
