DEEP Earth Energy Production Corp. (“DEEP”) has commenced drilling on the first well for its geothermal power facility, located in Southeast Saskatchewan.  This is a large step for the Canadian geothermal industry and CanGEA would like to congratulate DEEP. This will be Canada’s first geothermal facility and will be a transformative energy innovation for Saskatchewan.

CanGEA spoke at an event held by Alberta's NDP on its geothermal plan for the Province. The NDP sees the opportunity geothermal has to diversify the economy, create immediate and long-term jobs, provide clean, renewable energy and lower the Provinces GHG emissions.
