Join the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association as we host a unique business to business networking session during the Geothermal Resource Council's Annual Meeting. CanGEA is hosting this B2B on behalf of the International Energy Agency's Geothermal Implementing Agreement (IEA-GIA).

Alison Thompson (CanGEA chair), who serves as the IEA-GIA's Direct Use Annex Communications Task Leader, will begin the reception with a presentation: "Direct Use Geothermal Energy: Why We Must Always Talk About Heat When Talking About Power." Alison will be joined by Dr. Katharina Link of Switzerland who is the Annex Chair.
CanGEA is excited to take a new approach to networking. Along with traditional elements we will be hosting this B2B in a gameshow format. One activity will be "speed dating" with other attendees. This will allow you to interact with the people you want to meet in the room. Not only will you network, but you will build relationships! Pre-registration required to participate in the speed-dating so that we can match you with your networking preferences.
What do we mean by speed dating? We want to make networking more efficient and comfortable for our participants. We will be conducting facilitated matchmaking to ensure that you get to interact with those you want to do business with. We want to save you time and the awkwardness of searching out those you want to connect with. Let us do the work for you!
This will be followed by brief remarks on geothermal projects in Canada - most of which are direct use projects. Where we will release and present our 2015 Canadian Geothermal Projects & Skills Profile.

Are you a Canadian wishing to attend this event? Did you know that you may be eligible for significant subsidies?

Register here.

Our event is taking place before Women in Geothermal (WinG)'s event, in the same room! If you plan on attending WinG's event  - join us and start the party early!
