In mid-March several Fumarole+ members of CanGEA will have the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Emerging Technologies Directorate, who want to meet some of the firms in the area that are active in clean technology, and who will be able to provide them with insight on their products, markets, opportunities and challenges. This type of outreach helps to support their departmental advice, which can feed into policy and program development activities. ​

The Emerging Technologies Directorate is a unit of the Manufacturing and Life Sciences branch of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED - formerly Industry Canada). The Emerging Technologies Directorate is focused on the role of emerging technologies on the competitiveness of Canadian industry and how Canada can best encourage the development and uptake of these technologies.
