Explore geothermal energy in Iceland

12/8/2015

CanGEA is organizing a spectacular market visit to Iceland in April.

Corporate members may be able to take advantage of substantial travel and registration subsidies. For the past 5 years, a 50% reimbursement on travel expenses and conference registrations plus a $200 per diem for one person per company have been possible. A reservation also includes a feature in our 2016 Canadian Geothermal Projects & Skills Profile. This is an excellent initiative for CanGEA members to showcase their projects, skills, and products to the international geothermal community. If you cannot join us on the trip, we can still offer you a spot in our 2016 Canadian Geothermal Projects & Skills Profile so that your company can be marketed to the global geothermal industry.

Corporate Member Registration
Not a member yet? You can still register for the trip and become a member before we leave for Iceland.

Individual/student members and media partners are also welcome to attend the market visit but will not be eligible for the corporate member subsidy. You will, however, be able to take advantage of our group pricing discounts. If you are interested in joining, secure your spot for this amazing market visit today.

What will we do in Iceland?
CanGEA will be attending and hosting various matchmaking events where you can network with and learn from other international geothermal professionals. (We hear the scenery is pretty good too!)

We are planning a collaboration with the 3rd Iceland Geothermal Conference, which will be held April 26 - 29, 2016 in Reykjavik.
The conference will be hosted by the Icelandic geothermal cluster initiative and will feature three main streams on operability, feasibility and practicality of geothermal projects.

Over 600 international geothermal experts are expected to join the conference.  In addition to the conference format, the event will feature also a trade show, several networking elements and field trips to the geothermal power plant Hellisheidi, the Hveragerdi geothermal village, the Reykjanes Geothermal Resource Park and an optional trip to the Theistareykir geothermal power plant, which is currently in its development phase and is located in the north of Iceland. For more information on the conference program, click here.

If you have any questions about this market visit, please do not hesitate to contact us.
