  • Why Heat Power and the sub category geothermal will be one of the top 3 renewable energy categories and why Climeon focuses so much on Alberta
  • Low temperature geothermal examples

Climeon is a Swedish cleantech equipment vendor and world leader in converting low temperature heat into clean electricity. The company was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Stockholm with 50+ employees. Climeon was founded to deliver an economically viable business case when it came to converting low temperature heat into electricity. Climeon was built with the ambition to deliver a good business case and a positive environmental impact.

In comparison to ORC-systems, Climeon’s Heat Power system reaches a higher efficiency due to its unique low pressure technology and patented condensation solution, among other things. Due to the low pressure, the internal energy consumption can be decreased by 90 percent compared to traditional ORC systems. The result is a simpler solution that makes it economically viable to produce electricity from low temperature sources (below 120 °C).
