"Geothermal is the only true baseload renewable energy so a country not capitalising on it would be mad." - The New Zealand Herald

Globally, developments for an estimated 18.6 gigawatts of geothermal power are currently underway in 70 countries. That’s a $100-billion investment, say data from Canadian Geothermal Energy Association. - CanGEA featured in The PEG

Geothermal energy is delivering clean, base-load and low cost electricity in 25 countries as well as heating in 70 countries for fish farms, greenhouses, breweries, and much more! It offers a variety of environmental and socioeconomic benefits to users. Despite its location on the geologically active Pacific Ring of Fire, Canada is not making material use of geothermal energy.

Have you ever wondered why?

Join CanGEA's chair, Alison Thompson, and policy advisor, Justin Crewson, for a policy talk on kick-starting the industry in Canada. Admission includes a networking coffee break with attendees from our Technology Transfer Workshop with the Oil & Gas Industry.
