Potential Geothermal Applications in Canada

Advance tickets are necessary for us to order catering. Tickets are available until Sept. 29 or earlier - Event may sell out!

Join the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association for a unique evening highlighting Canadian geothermal opportunities, technology, and expertise at our premier business to business networking session. CanGEA's recently completed Geothermal Favourability Maps for Alberta and British Columbia demonstrate that over 5,000 MW of resources are readily available for development. If 5,000 MW of geothermal energy was installed then the total nominal economic output over 30 years amounts to $86 billion USD (Geothermal Basics, Geothermal Energy Association, 2014; Inflation Calculator, Bank of Canada, 2014).

The evening will be split into four distinct segments:

  1. The Chair of CanGEA, Alison Thompson will deliver an overview of Canada's diverse geothermal power and direct use opportunities
  2. A series of short presentations will highlight individual project opportunities, presented by their respective company representatives
  3. Another series of short presentations will highlight Canadian technologies and expertise presented by the industry's leading firms
  4. Guest speaker Michael Grainey will present on geothermal business opportunities in Oregon, and the audience will be invited to participate in an interactive discussion on global opportunities

All attendees of the GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Geothermal Energy Expo and local CleanTech companies/investors are encouraged to attend. Tickets are $25 CAD in advance and include appetizers and an optional cash bar.

Don't miss this opportunity to network with these CanGEA members, and many more industry leaders:
