Our 3-day Conference includes a private Project Developers’ Technology Needs Workshop, our Annual Conference with Industry Presentations and a Direct Use of Geothermal Heat Workshop with Dr. John Lund.

Wednesday, March 26th at 9am:

  • By Invitation Only: Project Developers’ Needs Workshop. This is Canada’s opportunity to identify best practices, technologies and required innovations for geothermal project developers in order to further the geothermal industry in Canada. This session will be professionally facilitated by Dr. Graeme Beardsmore and Shellie-Ann Jober and documented for further action in CanGEA’s Geothermal Technology Roadmap and Implementation Plan.
  • Opening Conference Reception with Guest Speakers
Thursday, March 27th at 8:45am: Industry Presentations
  • Join CanGEA for our annual conference where you will hear recent project developments and national database and mapping initiatives, participate in panel discussions on the latest policy updates and current resource estimates, and have the opportunity to contribute to the National Geothermal Roadmap and Implementation Plan.

  • Direct Use of Geothermal Heat Workshop led by Dr. John Lund: 
    Canada has vast low temperature geothermal resources that can be used to reduce diesel generation in Northern communities, and provide heat for community applications, such as greenhouse heating, aquaculture farming, hot spring operation, and more.
