The position

CanGEA is looking for an Operations Intern for start date September 1st, 2017. This position will be based in Calgary, AB, and may include occasional travel.

Tasks

Use communications and media platforms to connect with the public and the geothermal industry
Continually attract members to CanGEA
Support current CanGEA members
Provide administrative support to CanGEA
Plan events
Be responsible for all operations and income

Manage yearly memberships and payments
Update the website and PowEARTHful campaign
Use media platforms to communicate CanGEA's current events to the public
Assist with writing news articles
The position includes, but is not limited to, the above tasks and may include roles not listed that support CanGEA

Requirements

Ability to work in a low-structured, self-motivated environment
Knowledgeable about geothermal energy and passionate about supporting and promoting the industry
Effective in communicating both to the public and to members
Recognition of work priorities

To be ELIGIBLE for this opportunity, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

A post-secondary graduate
Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive)
A Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or granted refugee status in Canada
Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations
Must be a CanGEA Member
