In partnership with the Government of Alberta and Community Futures West Yellowhead, the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association started our travelling geothermal 101 seminar titled, “What about Geothermal in Alberta?” Over breakfast, attendees listened to CanGEA representatives breakdown the basics of geothermal energy, its benefits, and potential applications within Hinton and Alberta. The goal of this seminar was to clear up misconceptions and present the case for why geothermal energy should play a role in Alberta and Canada’s energy futures.
