CanGEA will be hosting an informational seminar on the Canadian Renewable & Conservation Expenses and the Scientific Research & Experimental Development tax incentive programs featuring representatives from the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) on September 26 from 930am-12pm in Calgary, at the Bennett Jones Calgary Office.

Seminar Details:

CanGEA has and continues to work with the CRA and NRCan with regard to geothermal electricity and heat project eligibility for federal programming. Most recently, the CRA provided CanGEA with an interpretation of CRCE eligibility for geothermal projects. The seminar will feature representatives from the CRA andNRCan and will focus on providing an overview of the various federal programs and tax measures available to the geothermal industry. The goal of the seminar is to give Canadian geothermal developers and other interested parties the chance to hear about the latest federal tax incentive programming and updates available to geothermal developers in Canada. The seminar will also offer participants the opportunity to ask general questions regarding the programming. The seminar will cover CRCE 43.1/43.2 tax incentives, SR&ED as well as the different processes available with each tax program, i.e. agency contacts and formal processes. Event attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the CRA CRCE interpretation.
