Developer, E2E Energy Solutions, and the municipality of Rainbow Lake are collaborating to bring geothermal heat and power to the town by 2028 – planning to implement E2E’s patent-pending Enhanced Geothermal Recovery System (EGRRS). Rainbow Lake would become the first community in Canada to be entirely powered and heated by geothermal energy. The municipality has credited CanGEA’s Rainbow Lake study as a helpful resource.
