Geothermal Power in British Columbia Simon Fraser University Working Paper

3/16/2021

Researchers of the Clean Energy Research Group (CERG) from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia, explain how Canada and the Province of B.C. can do more for the development of geothermal resources.
Andy Hira and Nastaran Arianpoo the authors of the working paper say there is a lack of regulatory frameworks for geothermal energy development in several provincial and territorial jurisdictions. This creates an uncertain environment for investors and developers to advance projects beyond the exploration phase.
