CanGEA Submits Feedback on the B.C. Output Based Pricing System

Our comments highlighted the need for targeted fiscal support for geothermal development in the Clean BC programs to accommodate potential geothermal offset projects. Additionally, that industrial consortiums be allowed to opt-in to the program and access CleanBC Industry funding to enable geothermal energy to play a key role via District Heating Systems to bolster BC’s sustainable development and emissions reduction efforts. And thirdly, that geothermal heat be included as a solution in BC’s energy and climate goals, in addition to electrifying everything with hydropower. ​
