Geothermal energy is taking off globally, so why not in Canada?

On July 2nd, 2019, Vanessa Ratjen, a writer and editor for The Narwal, released an article highlighting  the absence of geothermal energy in Canada. Canada remains the only large nation on the ring of fire that has not realized its potential for geothermal energy.  This is unsettling considering that the global industry is expected to grow to $9 billion in 2025 from $4 billion in 2018. 


CanGEA's Policy Director, Zach Harmer, was mentioned to articulate where the industry is potentially going and requirements for the continued growth of Canada's geothermal industry,
