CanGEA Chairman and Executive Director Alison Thompson recently have the honour of introducing members from the South Australia government in Calgary this past weekend at a seminar and luncheon. Australia has come to Canada to promote geothermal and look for investment and cooperation in the development of this responsible resource. While Australia has been making remarkable strides in renewable energy, Canada has shown no support towards geothermal energy or development. We hope our Canadian government both federal and provincial will recognize the importance of geothermal in the energy landscape and build on Australia’s international-leading development.
We urge all advocates, members and citizens of Canada to write to your local Member of Parliament and urge them to become a voice for geothermal!
